(Oof… organizing the bookshelves requires more physical work than I expected.)

(At this time of year, they say it’s easy for the old books to get moldy due the rain and humidity. The valuable books need to be carried to the underground storage room and given proper preservation treatment.)

(But carrying those books downstairs would empty the bookshelves, so I worry about which books can fill that space.)

(I plan to swap them with some books that seem to be idling in the underground storage room but… in order to bring interest to them maybe it’s better to display them in a special section*?)

(... Yes, let’s do it. I want everyone to read the books, after all. That’s why I need to do my best as the library committee member.)

(Next I’m going to carry the books from this shelf to the underground storage room and replace them.) 

I made good progress replacing the books. Should I just organize this shelf for today, I wonder...

Ritsu: Hmhm, that’s good enough… ♪

Hajime: Waah? Ritsu-oniichan!

Ritsu: Haa-kun, hi ~ ♪

Hajime: I almost dropped a book out of surprise… Do you have something to do in the library?

Ritsu: Nah. It’s Haa-kun who has things to do. Now and then, I wonder how the tea club activities are going.

Hajime: Ahh, that’s why you went out of your way to come here and call me…. I’m sorry, I’ll immediately tidy up and make preparations!

Ritsu: Don’t worry too much. At this moment, with the authority of the club's captain, I decide there will no longer be any activity…

Hajime: Wah, why’s that?

Ritsu: Haa-kun, you seem to be working seriously now.I happened to be at school after class today, so I had thought about doing club activities.

Hajime: But...

Ritsu: But Haa-kun… last year you weren't part of the library committee, right? Why did you join this year?

Hajime: Yup… It’s because I love reading and I’m very thankful to this library…  you see?

I was able to get to know many wonderful stories by reading books in the library

I was allowed to use the underground room as a place to do lessons and I have many memories of spending time with the seniors and everyone else here.

That’s why I wanted to repay these feelings by protecting this place. When the members of the committee were being decided, I raised my hand to accept.

There is also talk about the work of the library committee being merged with the student council from this year onward. 

There is work that can only be done by the library committee, thus it’s going to safely persevere… ♪ 

Ritsu: … Haa-kun, you kind of look like Aoba-oniichan. He also worked hard for the library committee, right?

Hajime: Is that so? That makes me happy, since my goal is to be a library committee member like Aoba-senpai was ~ ♪

I am often advised by Aoba-senpai. In one way or another my roommate Hasumi-senpai has been giving me some tips as well...

I still don’t know much about things like budget and such, though. But Tori-kun from the student council has been kindly teaching me.

Borrowing everyone’s strength, I think I can do my best as the library committee member.

Ritsu: Haa-kun, you look very lively. You really like your work as a library committee member, right?

Hajime: Yes ~ ♪

I ended up talking a little too much because I’m happy to have someone else to chat with. I’m often all alone in the library, so...

To be honest, this is a place where you’re supposed to stay quiet.

Ritsu: Right now we are alone together, so there’s no need to worry, right? I’m happy to listen to Haa-kun talk~

Fufufu. If Haa-kun is here, I can peacefully use the library as a place to sleep this year too...

Hajime: Ah… Ritsu-oniichan, it’s not a good thing to lie down on the floor. Your body won’t get proper rest.

Ritsu: But this spot on the floor is the nearest to Haa-kun. While I lie here, I’ll watch over you.

Hajime: Ehh? I’m happy but I worry about Ritsu-oniichan’s body!

Since you’re here, don’t you want to read a book? Here, if you get absorbed in it, you’ll keep your eyes open for sure, right?

Ritsu: Once I lie down I won’t wake up ~ ♪ Besides, rather than read it myself, I want Haa-kun to read it to me-

Wah? This sounds like….

Hajime: Rain, right... It seems quite heavy.

Ritsu: Yes, it’s the drizzling melody of rain. Perfect to go along with Haa-kun’s gentle and beautiful voice ~ ♪

Hajime: Ah, well… I’m happy to be pampered by Ritsu-oniichan, but… when it’s time to go home, please wake up properly, right?
